Privacy Policy
DressTheDate ("Operator," "we," "us," or "our") operates the yiDari mobile application and related websites and services (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies when you use the Service and should be read together with our Terms of Service.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide
- Portrait photos you capture or import for age adjustment, try-on, and saved Looks
- Party member names and roles you enter for wedding-party planning on your device
- Custom dress descriptions when you request text-only try-on
- Support messages if you contact us
Information collected automatically
- Device identifiers used to register your device and issue API credentials
- App and API activity such as try-on requests, job status, favorites, and catalog browsing events
- Token balance and purchase transaction IDs from Apple In-App Purchase (we do not receive your full payment card details)
- Technical logs including IP address, request timestamps, app version, and error diagnostics on our servers
Information from others
- Designer catalog data (product images, names, descriptions, prices, and links) supplied through our catalog pipeline from participating designers
- Apple provides purchase confirmation data needed to deliver dress tokens
2. Sensitive and Biometric Information
Portrait photos may constitute biometric or likeness data under some state laws. We use portraits only to provide the Service, including safety screening and AI image generation. We do not use portraits to identify you in the wild or sell face templates to third parties. Do not upload photos of people who have not consented.
3. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- register devices and authenticate API requests;
- process portraits, generate Looks, and deliver results to your device;
- operate dress token balances and validate App Store purchases;
- run automated safety and quality checks on uploads, prompts, and outputs;
- maintain favorites, fitting-room history, and catalog engagement metrics;
- respond to support requests and investigate reported try-on issues;
- secure, debug, and improve the Service; and
- comply with law and enforce our Terms.
4. AI Processing
The Service sends portrait and dress reference images to our backend servers and GPU infrastructure for AI editing workflows. Images may be temporarily stored while a generation job runs and may be retained in server logs or caches for a limited period for troubleshooting. We instruct models not to reproduce catalog models' likenesses in try-on outputs, but you should treat outputs as synthetic visualizations.
5. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:
- Infrastructure providers that host our API, databases, and GPU workers, under confidentiality obligations;
- Apple as necessary for In-App Purchase processing;
- Designers only in aggregated or de-identified form unless you separately choose to share content with them; we do not send your portraits to designers by default;
- Law enforcement or regulators when required by law or to protect rights and safety; and
- Successors in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to this Policy.
6. Storage and Retention
Portrait and Look images are stored on your device in the app's local storage and photo library when you choose to save them. Our servers retain uploaded portraits and generated outputs for as long as needed to complete jobs, handle support, and maintain reasonable backups. Catalog and engagement records may be retained while designers remain in the Service. We may delete inactive server-side job data on a rolling basis.
7. Your Choices and Rights
You can delete portraits and Looks from your device through the app. You may uninstall the app to stop further collection from that device. To request deletion of server-side data associated with your device or to exercise privacy rights, email support@dressthedate.com. We may need to verify your request using information associated with your device credentials.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information, or to opt out of certain processing. We will honor applicable legal requirements.
8. California Privacy Notice
If you are a California resident, you may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know categories of personal information collected, request deletion, and not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising privacy rights. We do not sell personal information as defined by the CCPA. Contact us at support@dressthedate.com to submit a request.
9. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Age-adjustment features are limited to adult ages. Automated checks are designed to reject images that appear to depict minors. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can delete it.
10. Security
We use device credentials, transport encryption, and access controls to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
11. International Users
The Service is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from other regions, your information may be processed in the United States or where our providers operate.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version with a new effective date and, when appropriate, provide additional notice in the app.
